On April 25th, 2015 a devastating earthquake hit Nepal. The earthquake caused massive damage and thousands of lives were lost. The Nepal Army Rangers played a major role in search and recovery efforts immediately after the earthquake and continue their tireless efforts to assist their country of Nepal.
Gaku Homma, Nippon Kan Kancho has a long standing relationship with the Nepal Army Rangers in Nepal and Homma Kancho serves as chief instructor of the Nepal Army Ranger Unarmed Combat training program.
Homma Kancho left Denver soon after news of the earthquake, arriving with a first load of medical, and food supplies in Nepal one week after the first earthquake to assess the victim assistance needs directly with the Rangers.
